We all go through tough times. I have learned that this isn't always negative. Although when your life has its hardships, there is no doubt that we hope to get through those times quickly and without an excessive amount of pain. Of course, this is not always the case. If we can handle the tough times with grace and awareness, the good news, you can come out of dark times with newfound strength, courage, and knowledge. With all of this, we can then help others through their dark times and struggles. I have lived through some sorrowful times where it was dark, lonely, and full of anxiety and depression. It took faith to believe that the sun would shine again. I had to be confident in myself and believe that happiness would also be a part of my life again.
The world is currently going through dark times. I pause for a moment, at times, and think about that. Everyone in the world is dealing with the same storm. Baffling. How have you dealt with life this past year? Have you Netflixed your way through? Have you become a teacher for your children? Have you tried to make the best of it? Life presents us with challenges. There will always be challenges in life, and how we handle them can determine how we will get through.
It is essential to know that getting through tough times may require help from others, and that's ok. We can find strength from talking to professionals and friends who have dealt with your similar storm. I divorced six years ago after being married for over 20 years. Was this ever on my radar? Not at all. But there I was going through it. Did I handle it correctly? Not at all. But I got through the dark times, and the sun came out again.
