The future used to scare me. Now, it excites me. What a wonderful feeling that is. In 2010 fear of the future crept into my life. It didn't happen overnight, but now I embrace the unknown and am fully aware that I can create my future. That is exciting.
2021, for me, began with the intention of being a health & life coach and finishing my book. Then, an opportunity came to be a Divorce Coach. I didn't even know that was an option. But it fit. Fast forward to the summer of 2021, and I had the opportunity to learn how to build my online community. Then Divorce After Forty was born, followed closely by the publication of my first book. I became a published Author in August of 2021. My community slowly started to grow, my first book signing in November, and my book is selling. A highlight for me was finding out that www.divorceafterforty.com got mentioned on the Tamero Hall Show, and I gained a new member in the community. I am grateful for all the good in my life.
Now, here comes 2022. The years are flying by. We have all lost something, someone or both, important to us in the last two years. So, how can we approach 2022 with a positive attitude? I've learned that healing, happiness, and being content is an active process for me. It doesn't just happen.
I will approach the New Year with intention. I am promoting Shattered Dreams & New Beginnings, growing my community to support women entering into a divorce after 20 plus years of marriage, building an actual course for them to take to go through the divorce process. The intention is to make this process less daunting and provide guidelines. More than one person has also challenged me to write another book. I have ideas for this.
So, what will YOU do? I suggest you make a list. Add items to the list that may seem so beyond your reality! Please do it. I have, and I am reaching goals I never thought possible.
This was just shared with me this morning as I am writingthis blog. Everything arrives when it should. I knew I had to share it. I'm pretty positive this will resonate with anyone who reads it.
Now read it again. The words ring true. There IS "MORE" to you than your yesterday. AMEN to that. I have learned to understand that a great life doesn't consist of great things all the time. We all have struggles and bad days, weeks maybe bad months and years. It is how we handle them that can determine our happiness and success. This is just how I have learned to think. I pray at all hours of the day, I meditate and all hours of the day. I have learned to be present and take each day as it comes.
My wish for everyone is Peace-Happiness-Love. A world filled with kindness, gratitude and empathy. Let's dive into 2022 with the intention of being kind and the whole world will shift.
Happy New Year!
